BROCCOLI, BARBADOS HYBRID
Deep blue-green heads are bursting with flavor and vitamins! Mid-early plants grow and produce well, even in warmer areas. Shows tolerance to mildew. Plants about a 14 foot row.
Start seed indoors 6-8 weeks before last killing frost in spring. Or, sow 2-3 seeds together outdoors every 2 feet. Thin to 1 plant every 2 feet when 1 inch tall. Keep watered and fertilized. Cut before buds open for best harvest.
Broccoli is a good producer again when planted in summer for fall harvest until frost. For low calorie side dish, broccoli is delicious with lemon juice.
