SUNFLOWER, AUTUMN BEAUTY
Annual. Stately stems bear gold, rust and orange bicolor blooms, very different than the usual sunflower. Still a great garden statement. Easy to grow.
After all danger of frost, sow seeds in open ground well exposed. Cover with 1/8 inch soil. When plants are 2 inches tall, thin to allow for spreading.
Great as background and for cut flowers. Birds will be attracted to the seeds, too. A good subject for kids' gardening.
