GOURD CAVE MAN CLUB
Cave Man's Club Gourd is a fun addition to your gourd collection. With its curved neck, these dard green shiny fruits with knobby protrusions will grow up to 14 inches long. The necks will grow straight if supported.
Sow 5 seeds evenly spaced in hills, 8 inches high and 12 inches across. Young vines should have a fence, trellis or heavy cord on which to climb. When young vines are about 8 inches, thin to 3 plants per hill. Does not transplant well.
To dry gourds, wait until fruit is fully developed and hard enough to pick from the vines. Pick before frost. To preserve, avoid brushing and wash thoroughly. Store in a dry, well-ventilated place until thoroughly dried out and hard. Can then be waxed or painted.
